The film closely follows the 1,200-kilometer one-way ferry route between Nagoya, Sendai, and Tomakomai. Some travel in groups with casual friends. Some return to their hometowns with broken dreams. And some are making a fresh start as new employees. Why do they choose a 3-day/2-night trip when an airplane is only an hour away?
